The Health Officer will be a member of our Smoking Cessation Project for Ethnic Minorities and New Arrivals.
Responsibilities:
The Health officer is mainly deployed for smoking cessation service which may involve multi-tasks relating to one or a combination of the following functional area:

• Liaise with stakeholders such as, NGOs, community groups, business sectors and individuals on matters relating to smoking cessation and collaboration opportunities
• Provide counselling and do case management for smoking cessation
• Perform smoking cessation promotion activities by preparing health education materials, delivering health talks, and implementing outreach activities

Requirements:

• University degree preferably in public health, health communication, healthcare management, counselling or equivalent 
• Minimum 2 years of working experience
• Experience in community health setting preferable
• Excellent communication skills and open to working in a diverse and multi-cultural environment
• Self-motivated, flexible, passionate in community engagement
• Ability to build and maintain rapport with clients.
• Ability to work in teams with tight deadlines and under pressure
• Well versed in common computer applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Well versed in using online media for delivering health information
• Fluent in spoken and written English with South Asian language particularly Hindi, Nepali and Urdu an advantage
• Fluent in Chinese a definite advantage
• Willing to work in evening shift and occasionally on weekends
